Stiv Wilson is an award-winning activist, filmmaker, and educator working at the nexus of marine conservation, plastic pollution, petrochemical production and human rights. He co-created and produced The Story of Plastic film — a searing expose revealing the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling, masterfully depicting one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues. And co-founded Peak Plastic Foundation to build inclusive and strategic campaigns that support frontline partners for accelerated actions and results. Plastic pollution is a pervasive global problem with severe environmental, human health and human rights impacts. His work and efforts unite advocacy efforts to produce intersectional stories and creative campaigns for strategic outcomes, leveraging collective power to drive systemic change. He has led extensive global research expeditions to document the impacts of the plastics supply chain, learning from experts and activists on the frontlines of the plastic pollution crisis.
