“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” ~Jane Goodall, Primatologist, Author, Activist
Welcome to Day 1 of Project Green Challenge!
You made it! We couldn’t be more excited that you’re here and embarking on this adventure with us.
The start of any journey can be complicated, especially when you are on the precipice of one like #PGC2017 designed to change your perspective, shift your worldview, and empower you with the resources to make waves. That’s right — make waves. You may be filled with excitement for what’s to come, anxiety about the unknowns, doubt around whether a conscious lifestyle is for you, and eagerness to get going.
Through it all, know this, we are with you over the next 30 days.
Each PGC journey is unique. Everyone is starting from a different place and it’s your diverse perspectives that bring PGC to life. Whether you feel like you are already living a conscious lifestyle or you have no idea what that even means, know that you are exactly where you’re meant to be.
Before you get started, take a minute to think about your WHY. What was your inspiration to sign up for PGC? Whatever your why is keep, it at forefront of your thinking throughout the month. Watch as your why carries you through these daily challenges and observe how it changes over the next four weeks.
Here at Turning Green our PGC why is simple: collective change = massive impact. We believe in your power to effect tangible change in your lives, on your campuses and in our world.
Whatever your why is, we can’t wait to be part of this journey with you.
And with that, let’s get started!

This is your first step – your first challenge! Read through each bullet point below and pay special attention to the bolded pieces, those are the bullet points with the action you need to take. Then prepare your responses and follow the submission information under “Deliverables.”
Upload your responses in a PDF document. Include answers to the questions above and what time you submitted your entry survey. Please include your name (or team name), username, email address, and school.

PGC is about transformation. But transformation is only possible with a beginning and an end. That’s why it’s important to understand who you are at this moment in your life and then, at the end of the month, we can look back and see what transformation looks like for you.
We want to get to know you! Create a short video (no longer than :90 seconds) with you on camera integrating your responses to the following questions: (Ask a friend to shoot it for you. Make sure it looks good and the sound is clear.)
Upload a PDF document with a link to your video. Make sure the link is public so we can view it. Please include your name (or team name), username, email address, and school.

Too often the conversation around environmentalism and change defaults to a myth that our world is devoid of empathy, that somewhere along the way, we’ve lost our ability to connect and work toward the greater good. Let’s try and flip this story and instead, imagine what the world would look like if empathy was the most important value of our time.
Upload your responses in a PDF document. Include a screenshot of your social media post, and list any responses. Please include your name (or team name), username, email address, and school.
